Great music, great drinks, and just a plain old good time.  It’s not complicated folks, it’s just a party to have a party.

Farming and Pollinators: Make Your Own Bee Hotel

  • 58 Codman Road Lincoln, MA, 01773 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Native bees are critical for biodiversity, often serving as the sole pollinator for some plants. They are also vital for agriculture, pollinating a large percentage of plants that we eat.  In Massachusetts, there are several bee species under threat, and it is important to take steps to conserve them before it’s too late.

Unlike honeybees, most native bees live in small nests. With much of their habitat shrinking, we can support native bees by planting bee-friendly native plants and providing them with shelter for nesting and hibernating.

Come join us as we learn about pollinators at Codman Farm and build bee hotels using recycled and natural materials - each participant will take home their own bee hotel - all supplies included.

$35 per child - best for ages Kindergarten through third grade.

Teacher Diana is a garden designer and native plant expert with a professional background in fine art, community art, and nature education. Diana is the owner of Monarch Meadows and Ecogardens, an eco-gardening service based in Lincoln.  MME’s mission is to help people transition from lawns to designed meadow habitats and native plant gardens that provide a vibrant, healthy environment, no matter how big or how small, for all of the creatures who live there.

Tour de Codman

  • Google Calendar ICS

UPDATE: Sadly, this year’s Tour de Codman is cancelled due to poor weather predicted. Keep an eye out for next year’s event and have a great weekend!

When signing up you will need to select a start time as groups will depart every 20 minutes with a lead biker, starting at 10 am. Please plan to arrive and be ready to go 15 minutes before the start time you registered for.  We will email all registered participants with more detailed information about the route.

The Tour de Codman will start at Codman Farm and will take cyclists on a nearly 12 mile loop through Lincoln along roads and paths, featuring stops at three remote pastures where farm staff and volunteers will give a short talk on the farm's sustainable, pasture-based agriculture before returning to the farm for coffee, cider and donuts.  We welcome all ages but cyclists must be comfortable maintaining a 10-12 mph pace along Lincoln's roads.  The route will spend as much time as possible on bike paths and quiet roads.  Any bike in good working order should suffice.  Please plan to bring your own water and snacks for the route, and don’t forget your helmet (required).  The ride leader will have basic tools but riders should plan to be self sufficient.  The total time for the ride, with stops, should be under 2 hours.
